I am Bub, a designer, a traveler, and thoughtful experimenter, focused on making a positive impact socially and environmentally through design and business. I take an interdisciplinary approach to design, not only through understanding many design processes but approaching problems with unique perspectives related to human interaction, curiosity, and philosophy. I challenge convention and strive to realize the most sensible design to fulfill needs based on real measurables. I see every opportunity as having great potential to learn. I am a listener, passionate about exposing myself to new ways of thinking and not just theorizing, but doing.

My passion for design feels innate. From a young age I was exposed to design through fashion, then product design. Some invention or idea would marinate in my mind until I felt a deep urge to make it, and I did. So from a very young age, I was tinkering to understand how things work in order to expand my mind to imagine further possibilities.

I grew up doing, before theorizing. Then at 18, I took a Gap year, to travel the world and grow as a person. It was awakening. I realized I wanted to live with intention, be passionately curious, make educated decisions, and enjoy the process. While product design is ingrained in how I see the world, I find the process of design thinking to be applicable beyond the design studio, spanning into business, community development, sustainable innovation, and beyond. I am at my best when I engage with fascinating people. I am a leader and team player (I have been captain of both high school and university level teams), with bold, genuine intention, to leave the planet more connected than when I arrived.
